yesterday on my way to school, I helped an old woman.
I didn't realise how fast escalators were for the elderly until I saw her falling down before my very eyes.
I think I saw it coming.
She was already struggling to get on the damn escalator, and then keep up with its speed.
That's a lot to do for an old person.
so anyway, there I was memorising the formula for gradient (i'm not like the rest of the world, with the exception of sheila, who already has this formula planted and growing and reproducing inside their head) and the next thing I knew, she was tumbling down.
and I just had to be the only one on that escalator, besides her.
not that I mind lah.
so I helped her up, and it took a surprising amount of energy as I always have this perception that old people have the weight of a feather.
I picked up her bag and held her till we reached the top.
and do you know how fast the control station officers react?
they were already waiting at the top by the time we reached.
so she signalled me a 'thank you' by smiling at me and nodding her head and waving at me.
and so, I left her with the control station officers.
well, I had to. I was already late.
so... you know, why can't they make escalators go slower?
don't tell me that it was the old woman's fault for not taking the lift.
you know how stubborn old people are, so "if you can't beat them, join them".
or maybe, just maybe, she doesn't know how to operate a lift.
who knows right?

eh you know what?
that was a quite long paragraph, seeing how my adventure lasted for like 10 seconds only.
I love old people.

I'm going to change my blogskin.
I can't stand this one.

okay bye.
i'm going blogskin-shopping right now.
